Nothing more magnificent can be witnessed under the setting amber sun than little flashes of sequins bursting forth like diamonds in the sky…it’s breathtaking.
Maybe I am exaggerating a little bit, er um, a lot.
There is a plethora of intensely more awe-inspiring or eye-catching images in this world, but being draped in sequins that dazzle in the sun like little gems, has me swooning for a longer summer. I’m immediately more sparkly than a 1970’s disco tech on New Years Eve; what could be better.
Immediately I'm in fantasyland. Jumping from pillowy cloud to pillowy cloud on a magical merrymaking unicorn with a mermaid crown of pearls and shells in my hair. The creamy taste of calorie free bubble-gum ice cream lingers on my tongue as I glitter and bedazzle all the things from the sky above. Forget Rainbow Bite - call me Sweet Sparkle Princess. Weird I know. Serious fantasy land indulgence there.
Speaking of bedazzling things. Im working on my Dad to let me bedazzle his antlers. Like these ones here. He hates glitter and anything sparkly, I don't blame him, it gets everywhere. He’s found it in his ears and Adam finds it on the deck. What can I say… sorry guys 🙂
So about this outfit.
Consider these my church clothes. Most people dress pretty casual here in Spokane, even to church, but as you can see I dont. I LOVE to get dressed up, I always will. Both the top and skirt are from Express. The tank can be dressed up like I did here, or dressed down with some fun shorts and wedge sandals. The skirt is made of a thick material and creates a great waist silhouette, it would look so cute with a graphic tee and white kicks too. I guess I have my next outfit planned 🙂 The necklace (from H&M) is bright, big, and the perfect accessory to pair with a pretty set of dainty earrings. Plus is was only $20! I love how creative we are free to be with our fashion these days.
What do you love to dress up in? I would love to know.
